Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Krll app and website (the "Service"), operated by Krll from Paris, France. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. We may ask you to accept updated Terms as the Service evolves. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old — or the higher minimum age required in your country — to use the Service. By using Krll, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You can sign in with an email address or phone number, a one-time code, or your Apple, Google, or Microsoft account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and devices secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@krllapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Your license to use Krll

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
• Upload content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable law.
• Harass or abuse other users, or misuse social features such as friends, invites, and comments.

You can block and report other users in the app, and we may act on reports to protect the community.

Your content

You keep ownership of the tasks, notes, and other content you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, sync, and display that content in order to operate the Service. Shared tasks and their comments are end-to-end encrypted; you are responsible for what you share and whom you invite, and for keeping your own backups of important content.

Subscriptions

Krll Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Prices and available plans may change.

Points and in-app rewards

Krll includes points and in-app "cash" that you can earn and spend inside the app — for example on shop items or to support donation campaigns. These have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real currency, and are non-transferable outside the app. We may adjust the rules of the points and rewards program at any time.

Ocean cleanup contributions

You can direct points toward campaigns that support ocean cleanup and environmental initiatives. Any figures, goals, or commitments we describe are made in good faith and may change; they do not create a contractual entitlement for you or any third party.

Beta program

Parts of the Service may be offered as a beta or pre-release. Beta features are provided "as is," may change or be removed, and may contain errors. Feedback you share about the beta may be used to improve the Service.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Krll and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the content you create, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Krll will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time and keep a versioned record of them. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and may ask you to accept the new Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
